On the west side of the Municipality are Schinokapsala, a small village, which probably owes its name to the tree ‘schinos’ and ‘kapsala’, the remnants of a burnt ‘schinos’.
Built at a point of particular natural beauty, the village attracts nature lovers who wish explore the flora and fauna of the region and enjoy their walk among the pine trees and spring waters in the forest.
